Zen Meditation
When most think about Zen meditation they associate it with Buddhist Monks. However, anyone who is searching for peace and for an understanding about the world can participate in Zen Meditation. It is through this practice that you will learn how to be at peace with yourself, with those around you, and with the world. You will train your mind to be in the moment rather than thinking about the past or the future.
Training our mind is the philosophy behind Zen Meditation. This is one of the more simple types of meditation that one can participate in. Zen meditation may also be referred to as Zazen meditation.
As people are learning the art of Zen Meditation they usually fall into a trap of trying too hard to clear their mind. Forcing yourself to get to a quiet mindset is not at all what Zen Meditation is. Instead, it is important to be patient as you are learning how to practice Zen Meditation and to learn as many ways as possible for how to clear your mind.
You should first start out sitting in a quiet room, close your eyes, and feel your breathing. By feeling and concentrating on how your breath travels through your body, you will begin to clear your mind and detach yourself from the every day struggles that you face. This meditation technique may take some time to master as we live in a busy world that is stressful and we are constantly thinking.
After mastering the art of breathing, then and only then, will you be able to reach into your soul and really see what Zen Meditation is all about. You will be able to put your body at ease and open your mind to the positive energy that is following around you and within you. You will reach self-awakening and will be at peace with your most inner self.
Whatever path you decide to choose in life, I highly recommend making Zen Meditation a part of it. Not only will you be at peace with your soul, but also you will be at peace with problems and issues that arise. Take the time to learn how to calm down the business of the day and spend time on you.
